• Fring – The service uses the mobile phone’s SMS capability to enable free phone calls to anywhere in the world. It also enables group video calls to any cellphone in the world. To call a regular phone, you have to pay 1¢ a minute.
• Barablu – The free software enables persons to make free international calls to other members of the network. The service is available anywhere in the world.
• Nimbuzz – Another service that provides free online phone calls, chat and messaging via the cellphone.
• Blyk – A messaging service targeting at a young audience, it offers 43 minutes of free online phone calls per month.

These are services that enable you to make free international calls to standard telephones or mobile devices. However, the simplest way to make free online phone calls that can also be free international calls are those that use the computer to communicate with another computer. In this case, Skype would be the service of choice. Skype enables voice and video communications without geographic or time limitations. Yahoo Voice and Windows Live Messenger also provide a similar service, but the membership is far smaller than that of Skype which in 2010, counted over 700 million registered members in its network.
